Corporate Newsletters
As a consultant to Remington Products Company, brought in to develop a custom software application for their sales force, I also became the company's sole copywriter, responsible for marketing, sales, corporate, technical, and packaging copy.
Writing the corporate newsletter presented unique challenges, because its readership included everyone from factory hands to board members. An important trademark win, therefore, had to be explained in layman's language--without losing its relevance to board members.
To achieve this, I used a congenial tone, which masked a simple vocabulary as casual friendliness so as not to lose more highly educated readers.
The CEO remarked that my last newsletter was the best one Remington had ever put out. Here are some samples from that issue.
