Project Management
I worked with Oxfam International to organize bloggers and project manage their coverage of the 2009 G20 Summit in Pittsburgh. I built this website as a hub from which to promote their work via Twitter, RSS, Flickr, Livestream, and other social media.
As executive producer of this daily consumer magazine, I established the site’s workflow procedures, editorial voice, calendar, and sitemap. I project managed a team of editor/producers, designer, and programmer through one site relaunch, one redesign, and the site’s ongoing production and promotion for two years.
High-profile news site APBnews.com brought me in to develop this new content channel: establishing its content strategy and product managing its development and maintenance. See also APB Unsolved, the award-winning feature I produced for the channel.
To give Remington centralized control over the branding and data of all sales presentations nationwide, I defined and project-managed development of a custom software application dubbed Presesntation Builder. The application was quickly adapted by the company’s sales force.
At Nurun in 2008, I project managed this innovative, game-like feature that generated “art” based on visitors’ answers to questions tied to their genetic makeup, reinforcing the client’s DNA-based brand.
I worked with Remington’s creative and marketing departments to project manage development of this mini-site, introducing the company’s hair care appliances to the teen market. The mini-site’s traffic dwarfed all previous traffic to the company’s main website.
