What’s the sexiest style of facial hair on a man?

This and other provocative questions enticed Live with Regis and Kelly and other TV and radio broadcasters around the globe to talk about Remington on the air in June.

The week before Father’s Day, recognized lifestyle and trends expert Dianne Dewitt spoke to morning drive radio stations about a fun “Body Hair Survey” Remington had just released. Hired by Remington for this PR event, Dewitt took every opportunity to weave in sound bites on how our men’s shaving and grooming products can solve men’s grooming needs to ensure romantic and career success.

After airing on radio stations in major cities across the United States, the results of the survey were then picked up by other media outlets:

• Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa talked about it on the Live with Regis and Kelly television show.
• Westwood One taped the interview and distributed it to its 300 sister stations.
• Two afternoon drive stations in Ireland interviewed Dewitt.
• The Remington Australia office even heard it mentioned on a popular radio station there.

The Survey

The survey asked approximately 1,000 male and female respondents their attitudes about body hair. Close to 80% of women said they are very or ear or nose hair–and some felt so strongly about it that they wouldn’t hire (24%), promote (22%), or invite to client meetings (24%) someone with visible ear or nose hair or unkempt facial hair.

And, while men would like to have a goatee (22%) or a mustache (21%) almost as much as they would like to be clean shaven (25%), 67% of them said they would shave off their facial hair if asked by their significant other.
